Leon, it is unfortunate that some people feel the need to be rude to
newcomers. Not everyone has been following the never ending threads, there
are always new people joining the list.
The OS3.5 documentation leaves a lot to be desired, when I first got 3.5 I
figured I'd start using it and all would be well, now I know you have to
start looking through other directories on the CD and installing other weird
utilities just to get basic functionality.
Well intending people have suggested making a FAQ (very good idea) but it is
not yet available. Therefore new people have no alternative but to ask the
same questions again (albeit unknowingly).
Overall I still like 3.5, so this is not a rant against H&P.
It does bug me that people still keep greeting newbies in such a warm,
friendly fashion (sarcasm fully intended). My message to them is simple, "If
you don't want to help these guys do us all a favour and just keep silent".
Welcome to the list and ask away.
