I really don't understand why this is troubling ppl so much.
THere are two procedures widely used for preventing ENV from using too much
memory. One is to assign ENV: to a h.d. directory. The other, (far the
best, I reckon) is to use HappyENV.
Both of these eliminate memory probs with large ENVarc storage. Both of
them slash the boot time as well.
OK, I have read one e-mail about probs allegedly caused by HappyENV.
However, I am convinced that that person's prob cannot have been caused by
HappyENV because I, and many many others, have used it for a very long time
on many different machine configs.
Moral: install HappyENV and forget all about how big ENVarc becomes. I
DOESN't MATTER!
