I made a small test, and yes it's the loosing mem problem
I would see with my own eyes.
1:
I took a spare A4000 with CyberStorm060MKII as the only
non vanilla tingy.
2:
Formated the harddisk.
3:
Installed OS3.1 + the CDdriver from the OS3.5CD
4:
rebooted the computer
WBbar told me:

Installed OS3.5

Now I turned the computer off waited 10sec and then turned it on again.

opened diffrent drawers and closed them again, and yes
the ram is beeing freed again, execpt a little fast.

as you all can see theres missing whole 624bytes.
I'll dare to say it's NOT OS3.5 with or without BB1, who is
to blame for the loosing mem state.
Excuse my poor english, but I hope somebody got something out
of this.
