I use Multiscan:Productivity 640x480 in 64 colors. Switching back
to the older 2.63a version of FBlit fixed the Chip RAM loss on my
system when trying WBCtrl with IMT=FAST or ICONFAST. I have a little
over 1.7 Meg Chip RAM free. Not much difference from when I was
not using WBCtrl.

Incidentally, why do you only have 1.7 free on your system when
your using a gfx card??? You should have even more free.
