Subject:Safe Printer Cable (again)

From: Colin Wenzel <colstv@hotkey.net.au>

To make a printer cable compatible with *ALL* Amiga models,
right back to the A1000 & A500's,
ensure there are *no wires connected to the any of the *
*3 end pins, on either side of the short row.*
These are pins: 14,15,16 & 23,24,25.

These pins generally are grounded on most ready made cables,
but unfortunately, on the Amiga (various models) these pins have
special signals and even voltage supplies on some pins.

So to be safe, make sure that *only the centre 6 pins* on
the short row have connections.

/All of the long row are identical on all machines, so they stay the same./
