Off-topic? (Don't know).

Can anyone tell me if there is an ML anywhere for the 'Executive' task
scheduler that many of us use?
Alternatively, is it OK to discuss it here?
If its not OK, please someone say so and I'll say no more on the subject.

If it is OK, which 'schedulers' seem to perform best under OS3.5?
Does it depend on the type of duty, the mix of system and application
software, etc.?

Can anyone give any examples of what works best in which situations?
Unfortunately, the program docs, though superb in every other way, offer
v.little guidance on how to get the best out of it.

/In particular/, is there an optimum setup for Executive to get the very
best out of the FBlitz/WbCtrl combination under AGA?

Final question. Slightly odd thing. My folder, "Main:@downloads", has
maybe 50 or 75 files in it. (I put an "@" in the filename to make it appear
at the top of a file requester list). I have the display mode set to SHOW
ALL and VIEW BY NAME. When I double-click the folder, it opens with a file
list. But it takes ages. This doesn't surprise me, given the number of
files. What did surprise me, though, was when I booted up to a
rock-bottom-minimum system the other day (nothing non-essential either
loaded or running). I double-clicked this folder and, /BAM/, it opened
before I knew it.

Why? Why should all my system tweaks make this /slower/? Is there
something in Executive that is incorrectly set up?

Jw.
