Yup. Hits me nearly daily. Nothing quite wakes one up compared to leaping
about howling after loosing important data to a bug as stupid as this that
should have been fixed by now.
(Did I not whine enough? I got this problem from day 1)
>> Is there a cure?
Yup. Doesn't exist though. If you ask the OS team nicely they might explain
that it MIGHT be fixed in the next boingbag release in 1-2 months. If it gets
enough betatesting in before the boingbag release of course. :]
ARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Avoid using icons. :-)
Second best option, avoid using the new icon.library.
Disble whatever AppIcon is causing it, if you can't disable it, bug the author
of the program responsible (don't waste your breath on the author of YAM
though, looks like hes on extended vacation to me...).
My best tip is that when throwing heavy objects in anger, throw them at
something that can take the blow, or an open window. :-)

This guy I lucky, I usually have the AppIcon covered. And my interval is three
minutes (up from one, I want my mail semi-timely).
Ohhhhhhhhh, I know the cure, don't buy OS3.5. :-)
Drive by my place each night, if you don't hear howling then it should be
safe.

Heck, I'll pretend he asked. :-)
My commentary at this point would be generally redundant, so to avoid making
the OS3.5 groups ph33r me to much I'll just add in the comment that it works
for normal icons too (say a floppy disk insert/removal).
And of course add my usual statement that I would have found this bug as a
betatester if they picked me, I applied, even gave good reasons to choose me I
think. I should have mentioned what would happen if the system froze on a
daily basis after I bought the OS if I wasn't picked. Muhhahhahhahaaaa!
Oh, wait (gets bigger, turns green), rarrarrarraaaaarrrrrrrr *SMASH*.
