Understanding security in ORS

Observer Reporting Server has its own security that controls access to what reports a user can view on the ORS web page. It does not control what features can be used within ORS itself.

Observer Reporting Server implements its security based on user rights. Each user must have his rights configured. By default, a user can see all reports.

If Observer is installed on the same system as ORS, then the two products share the same security configuration, however, ORS cannot share security withObserver on a remote system.
