Understanding scheduled reports
A scheduled report is a report that is sent out by e-mail at a specified time or uploaded to the reports folder where it can be viewed (or both).
Scheduled reports are static, which means they do not change even if the underlying data changes. They are a snapshot in time. Using the ORS web interface, you can also find the data, but having ORS do so automatically is a convenient way to get specific information without having to search for it.
To view scheduled reports, you must view them on the http://ORShost/ORS web page or as part of the e-mail message that is sent to you or access them in the following locations on the ORS system. A copy is kept in a directory for each user scheduled to receive the report.

Using the Schedules tab allows you to control two things: when data is transferred from Observer to ORS and whether ORS creates a report and publishes it. You can choose to have ORS send an e-mail informing you that the report is available.
You control how frequently ORS requests data from Observer, at what time, and how the data should be stored for reporting.
