Whale Movements

Whales can move in many different ways. Whales like to breach, but not all whales can breach. For example, the blue whale can not breach because it is too long to get itself all the way out of the water.

Whales like spyhopping. When a whale spyhops, it sticks its head out of the water. All whales can do this.

Whales can also lobtail. When they lobtail, they hit their tails on the surface of the water several times.

Whales can use their flippers to do flippering. A whale lays on its back and waves its flippers in the air.

Whale movements are pretty cool, especially considering how big they are!
