Tips for Setting Geometric Constraint
Geometric constraints can be used to
improve estimation accuracy. However, constraints have to be set
correctly. Here are some tips for setting up
constraint.
- If you are not sure about the correctness of a constraint, do
not set it.
- Try to find and set all points that satisfy a particular constraint as
a single constraint. For example, if a set of points are all on a
plane,
they should be set in one coplanar constraint, instead of
breaking
them up into two or more coplanar constraints.
- Use reference points instead of constraint if possible.
- Do not set a constraint that is redundant.
- Set as many as possible as along as there are no redundant constraints.
