Point Info Window
The Point Info window displays and edits information of the current point. Its major functions are:
The Point Info Window can be opened:
- by clicking the "Open Point Info Window" button in the Setup page, "Reference point" subpage,
of the Main window.
- by selecting [Window|Point Info] in the Window
menu found in the menu bar of any window.
The Point Info window contains the following elements:
- Window menu: closes this window or
opens/raises other windows.
- Help menu: invokes the on-line reference.
- P field: this is the Point field for displaying the name of the current point. You may change the name by typing in a new name.
- W field: displays the weight value of the current
point. For a regular point, the weight is automatically set to 1.0.
For a reference point, the value is automatically initialized
to 12.0 and
can be manually changed here. The weight indicates the constraint
strength that the point has upon computation. If the
reference point is accurate, use a large value. If the accuracy
of the reference point is in doubt, use a
small value.
- X, Y, Z fields: displays the X, Y, and Z values of the current
point. For a regular point, these values are computed
by Photo4D. For a reference point however, these values should be ente red here. Make sure to press Return or Tab key after entering a new
value.
- I,C,R buttons: These buttons indicate the status of the
corresponding x, y, or z coordinate value.
- Err (Error) field: displays the estimated
error of the calculated coordinate.
- E.S. field: displays the estimation
strength of the current point.
- Image listbox: shows a list of images in which the current point
has a mark. It also displays the image or frame number
where that frame appears. If you are using still images the
number will always be 0. In a motion capture project the
point will probably appear in many frames.
- Fixed x,y,z in all frame: This button only appears in a motion capture
project to indicate whether the point is a fixed point or moving point.
- Show Images button: open the image window in which the point listed
in P field appears and iconify the rest image windows. It is a
convenient way to see the points in all the images its in.
- Save button: make sure to press this button after changing any
value in the Point Info window. Otherwise no changes will be
saved.
