2000 Consumer Web site This site has been designed to
help non-professional computer users understand the year 2000
challenge. It presents an overview of the year 2000 challenge as it
relates to the home PC, offers a course of action for addressing and
resolving these issues, and lists abundant resources for getting
ready for the year 2000.
Year 2000 toll-free phone number Microsoft
has launched a toll-free information line for customers who do not
have Web access and would like to receive information by fax or
e-mail. This number is (888) MSFT-Y2K (or 888-673-8925).
Microsoft Year 2000 Product
Analyzer This free software tool
from Microsoft will inventory your computer system and assess the
readiness status of your operating system and Microsoft software
programs. It will recommend actions that you should take to maximize
year 2000 readiness, with links to obtain any necessary software
updates.
Document
correction tools Microsoft has developed three add-in
tools for use with Microsoft Excel 97 to help you scan, analyze and
revise dates in Excel spreadsheets. The Date Fix Wizard, the Date
Migration Wizard, and the Date Watch Wizard can be downloaded at
