$EDITOR
=======

   This variable can be used to set the editor used by IntuiNews for
writing or editing messages.

   Attention: IntuiNews requires a standard Amiga texteditor. Lines must
be terminated with a LF ($0A). IntuiNews does not apply any changes to
the textfile before writing it into the messagebase.

   The editor must not detach from CLI. Most editors need a special
option for this behaviour.

   You can set environment variables with the CLI command "SetEnv".

   Try e.g. this command:

     SetEnv EDITOR "ED -sticky"

   to use CED.

   After this use:

     Copy ENV:EDITOR TO ENVARC:

   to save the variable permanently.
