SET DEVELOPMENT ON | OFF

Checks creation dates and times of program files.
Default value - ON

If DEVELOPMENT is SET ON and the source program is more current than its
compiled object program, FoxPro recompiles the source program before it
executes.
If DEVELOPMENT is SET OFF, no comparison is performed between the source
and compiled versions of the program.
Regardless of the setting of DEVELOPMENT, the most current version of a
program modified with the FoxPro editor invoked with MODIFY COMMAND will
always be executed. DEVELOPMENT only needs to be SET ON when programs
are modified outside of FoxPro. For optimum performance, SET
DEVELOPMENT OFF.
