This section will host information regarding cracking WinCE programs, in particular, on SH3 based machines. Contributions are welcome.

Programming WinCE

Tools

WinCE Toolkit for VC++ 6 - you'll need this to write CE programs. Requires platform SDKs. (not uploaded yet)
Platform SDKs for CE - As well as containing stuff needed for VC++, it also has lots of info in its help files.
Hitachi SH3 Programming Manual - Essential if you are going to write SH3asm programs or if you are going to crack on SH3 platform. Note that the SDK also contains a HTML version of this reference, but I prefer Hitachi's PDF version.

Information

Programming Windows CE by Douglas Boling - Disk - Install for Book - Introduction to CE programming. It covers basic Win32 programming and highlights some differences between CE and the other win32 OSes. Those after a comprehensive guide to WinCE will be disappointed.

I'm currently looking for the Ebook version of 'Programming WinCE Programmers Reference'. If you have this book, please let me know. In fact, if you have any WinCE books, plz contact me on #efnet @ #cracking, #win32asm or #pdawarez.

Cracking WinCE Proggies

I've not got time to upload everything here right now, especially as my bandwidth is limited at the moment but I will get around to doing it at some point. Also, don't ask me for cracks as I do not give them out.

IDA WinCE Version - Buy

IDA is the essential cracking tool. I've tried IDA384 and the CE support isn't very good. IDA384ce (the CE version) is much better. I haven't had a chance to test out the 385 versions yet.

PatchCE 1.2 - Download

It's a real chore to have to download a file to your desktop, patch it, then reupload it to your palmtop - especially if you're bad at cracking and have to do this several times :) With this util, you can patch your files on your palmtop.

IDC Script for SH3 - Download

This IDC script should be run after initial auto-analysis is completed. The script jumps to the beginning of the current segment (usually code segment) and begins to mark the unexplored bytes as code. This script is necessary as the current (3.8b) release of IDA does not seem to get the code correctly. I've also tried it with some newer versions but the analysis still seems to be bad. I haven't had a chance to use IDA for WinCE yet, but I will try it when I get some time.

This is my first IDC script. Thanks to Mammon for the help he gave me in starting to get to grips with the IDC scripting.

WinCE DUN Password Decoder 1.1 - Download

Lost your DUN password? Or maybe you want to steal one? Well, here's the utility for you. I've only tested this on passwords from my own palmtop. It is possible that other platforms have slightly different systems which are incompatible.
