Dock the Stack and Files palette
You can work with the StackThe palette in the workspace that shows the layering order of objects. and the Files paletteThe palette in the workspace that holds all currently opened picture files. either docked or undocked. When docked, the Stack and Files palette are attached to the right side of the screen and cannot be moved. When they are undocked, you can move them anywhere on the workspaceThe gray area that surrounds the canvas..
To dock the Stack:

On the View menu, point to Dock, and then click Stack.
To dock the Files palette:

On the View menu, point to Dock, and then click Files.
Note
Clicking Stack turns this feature on and off. A check mark next to Stack indicates the Stack is docked.

Clicking Files turns this feature on and off. A check mark next to Files indicates the Files palette is docked.
Tip
You can also dock and undock the Stack by double-clicking the Stack title bar.
