Change a text box
You can alter the appearance of text in text boxes in several ways.
To add or change the background color:

Select the text box you want to edit.

On the Text menu, click Text Box Color.
The Change Color dialog box appears.
- Select a color.
On the color panel, select a color.

To choose a custom color, do the following:
- Click More Colors.
The More Text Background Colors dialog box appears.
- Select a color on the expanded color panel, or create a custom color by dragging the slider and clicking Add to Custom Colors.
- Click OK.

Click OK.
Note
If the background color you select is the same as the color of the text, the text will not be visible.
To delete the background color:

Select the text box you want to edit.

On the Text menu, click Text Box Color.
The Change Color dialog box appears.

Click No Fill.

Click OK.
To stretch the text:

Select the text box you want to edit.

On the Text menu, click Stretch to Fit Text Box.
When you resize the text box, the text stretches to the new size.
Note
Clicking Stretch to Fit Text Box on the Text menu turns this feature on and off. The feature will remain on until you click Stretch to Fit Text Box again. A check mark next to the command on the Text menu indicates the effect is still active.
