a dream

I have this dream of living in a little village by the sea and communting no more than half an hour to work in a capital/big city in a Spanish speaking country. The closest I have found to this is a friend who was living in Huanchaco and commuting into Trujillo, Peru.
.
Where else like this do you know of?

Thare are some nice seashore towns north of Valparaiso/Vina-del-Mar, on the central coast of Chile. Try Con-Con, wich has a few gringoes working in the city.

Well, it does have a large Spanish-speaking population.

We don't speak Spanish (much). But Bondi is a nice village
just outside Sydney, Australia. Much cleaner than
Huanchacco - but Huanchacco does have better surf. Chao.
