Hello,
in october 99, I leave Belgium and go for 25 days to
nepal. I've planned to do the Annapurna curcuit en then I
have a few days left for visiting some other nice places.
But it's difficult to know what I have to put in my
backpack. Does somebody can give my advice ?
I'm thinking about doing the trek with an organisation from
Kathmandu, but there are many offices? if you have a
suggestion, or you know a very good one, let me know?
I arrive the 4th october. If you have planned the same
trekking and you arrive the same period, just let me know!
Thanks for giving the advice, and know it's 4 more months
waiting!

If you are thinking of flying on any leg, make sure you
book your flights in advance. It is very crowded on the
    planes these days.
There are millions fo guides and trekking companies, but
basically the "guides" are all freelancers either allied
with a few companies or are alone. If I were doing it
again, I'd make sure I paid a set fee for the guide and
porter and settled my food and lodgings on the side. The
"all-in" daily rate is enticing, but you end up overpaying
and there also is an incentive for the guide to cut back on
what the company has budgeted for. That's what happened to
me, which put a sour taste on a trip with an otherwise
excellent guide. All the prices of food and lodging are
clearly written out in the guest house menus.
