Hi, do you know any good places to stay at to meet other travellers in Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan etc? Nice, friendly, cheap with possibilities to meet other backpackers to hook up with for parts of the trip.

If you use the lonely planet guide to China, you will certainly run into other travellers - esp in the more rural towns
such as Yangshuo.(though I hear Yangshuo is developing) Stick to the west coast of mainland China. I think a lot
of people run the Tibet - Hong Kong overland route. In Hong Kong, I highly recommend the IYH on Hong Kong
proper - while it isn't conveniently located, it has a beautiful view of the entire harbor and the air is clean. There are
other place, but I can't recall their names - its in the guidebook.
