How much does it cost to get a haircut where you live? Is
it customary to tip the stylist? If yes, how much? Don't
forget to write the name of your country. Thanks! =)

[Timestamp: Mon 10 May, 10:16 Tasmanian Standard Time]

Hello! I pay $18 for a wash, cut and style. I live 60
miles southwest of Chicago in the country. This salon does
not accept tips, but that is not the norm here. Chicago
charges around $25- $50 (or more)depending on how much
experience the stylist has. You could go to a fancy salon
and try a younger person for a cheaper price.

    ...Adelaide South Australia,
My baby sister is hairdresser so I just call her up when I
need a trim at the moment I need a brush cutter I've let it
get out of control. I usually repay her with a meal she
doesn't cook very well and I'm a Chef!

This really is the page for female travellers!!
Lund in the south of Sweden:
I pay $30 U.S. for modern styled haircuts.
Nice chat with the hairdresser included!
This is a small salon in the old part of "downtown" with
    lots of charm.
Bigger and more fashionable salons charge you much more but
then I always feel like a podle.

  20. SASKATOON,CANADA Added by: Chloe (chloec@sk.sympatico.ca)
[Timestamp: Wed 12 May, 4:37 Tasmanian Standard Time]

In a good salon here, a hair cut goes anywhere from $15-75
and you always leave a tip. Either 10-15%. Of course it
depends on WHERE you go, and what you are having done.

  21. Ottawa, ON Added by: Megan
[Timestamp: Wed 12 May, 13:58 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I get my mummy to cut my hair most of the time. :)
I go to the cheap-o First Choice haircutters when I'm
willing to pay...it was about $15 with tip ($12 plus $3).
At Rinaldo's downtown, where Mila Mulroney (former PM's
wife) used to pay about $300 for a trim.

  22. Japan Added by: C
[Timestamp: Sat 15 May, 19:28 Tasmanian Standard Time]

4500 yen, which is over $40 American I think and about $50
Canadian. But I get a short shoulder and head massage,
plus they wash your hair 'til your head tingles. So it's
actually a good deal if you ask me.
