Hi everyone. I have decided to quit my job and go
travelling..I'm sure many others have done the same. Has
anyone ever regretted doing this when they come home and
are flat broke, pounding the pavement again?

Never regretted it for a second. I can't imagine not
having travelled now that I have made it such a priority in
my life...I am truly a different (and better) person than
before I strapped on my backpack!

Definitely no regrets. Done it twice in fact and its just as
easy to pick up where you left off when (if) you get back
home. Have a ball and don't even think about it!

nunca, jamais... when you return you'll be so rich that
being broken will be no problem. Travelling changes
absolutely the way you concive life, so the person who is
now wondering about what will happen when returning will no
longer exist. Take the risk of discovering a new you and
enjoy as much as you can

... travelling changed my life for the better. When I got
home after 8mths all I wanted to do was have a good cuppa
with family and friends and then head out again. But that
wasn't to be however I didn't go back to my former life
I've changed for the better I always knew that it was a big
beautiful world out there. GO FOR IT : HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

Coming back to chicago after 4 relatively carefree years in italy was not fun at all. I was broke, no job, and so I was stuck temping for some miserable company, doing data entry. Things are finally better though, and I will never ever regret my travels or time spent abroad.

    Hi,
after reading all this, I am really happy. I made the
decision anyway and am going to quit my job - but I've also
been a tiny little bit worried about renting out my
apartment, finding a new job and all that bollocks....
So, JJ, I guess we will have a fantastic time out there!!
    Enjoy your travels!

    travel... and I can't wait!!!!
