The Grenadines

I'm thinking of traveling to The Grenadines (specifically,
Bequia) with a woman companion. What kind of hassles, if
any, should we anticipate?

    Hi, Carol!
I'm a sailor, and have heard that Bequia is great. I'd
recommend the usual caution, but this area of the West
Indies is known to be quite friendly.
My real reason for posting is I'd love some info from you
once you return. I've been wanting to go there for quite
some time and assuming that I'm not sailing in, what is the
best way to get there from Grenada (or anywhere else)
cheaply? What great little budget places to stay did you
find? How about restaurants/places to eat? How does it look
for sea kayaking (protected waters)? How about beaches?
I'd be happy to trade you info on travelling in the
Caribbean (elsewhere), US, Europe, or Australasia, as I'm a
    travel writer.
Thanks in advance----my email address is rthawk@hotmail.com.
    Have a great time!
