Sibu Airport - Kapit, Sarawak

I have noticed that the Sibu airport is next to the river
and relatively far from Sibu. Is it possible to catch a boat
for Kapit close to the airport or does one has to go down to
Sibu first?
Does anyone know when tha last boat leaves Sibu and possibly
passes the landing at the airport if such one exists?

   Last time, I went via Sibu town, never thought of doing
   otherwise. Lots of boats to choose from. Of course, that
   was in 1963, but I doubt if much has changed..
