Hi! I'm planning a trip to Indonesia in September and would
like to learn just about enough of the language to have
simple conversations. Does anyone have info on which is the
best way to take these courses (which institute, for how
long etc?) in Holland? (I will probably have to do it in
the evening or on weekends...) Any of your info and
experiences would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Damon

Very good idea to tak a course in the language!
You will make much more out of your trip. Many
people will be more open and friendly when they
find out that you (at least try) to speak and
    understand some of their language.
Since the pronunciation is not so complicated
I would just buy a book and figure it out yourself.
At least, that's what I did. They sell good course
books in any decent bookstore in the Netherlands.
It worked fine for me, but I guess it would be good to
take a course if you want to practice more or get some
feedback from a teacher. Good luck, enjoy your trip.
