I need information on travel east from flores to timor and then on to darwin. I believe that ferries and/or pelni ships ply between flores and timor however I need to know if flights can connect to darwin from kupang or dili. Its been 25 years since doing this trip before but I bet its still possible. Also if we happen to come in by private boat/yacht will customs in darwin have a problem if we are holding proper tourist visas. Any info on timor would also be appreciated [I know its dangerous].

Kupang, W. Timor to Darwin was a go. The only danger in
Kupang is the abominably over-bassed music on the bloody
bemos. Maumere-Kupang is a cheap, quick flight.

I think you're a madman for even considering going to East Timor but if you do take care and best of luck.

Merparti fly from Kupang to Darwin every Wednesday and
Saturday. There are numerous flights from Ende or Maumere to
    Kupang.
Flores is my favourite island. Have a great time!
