thailand to bali

What's thge best way to get from Thailand to Bali? I will
probably be on the island of Thailand and wnat to go from
there via boat, plane or the cheapest/most convenient way?
Any suggestions ro ideas about fares?

   I did this earlier this year (March). I bought a one way
   ticket in Bangkok (Khao San Rd.) on Malaysian for 5800B. The
   only problems, you need to over night in KL (new airport is
   a long ways to town), and deal with immigration in Bali. If
   you take the overland route you can buy a ticket for
   Singapore to Jakarta in Penang or Singapore at a resonable
   price ($60 to 80 US). From Jakarta you can take a train or
   Bus across Java (Yogya makes a great stop). I've done this
   route twice where I bought my ticket in Penang and at the
   same time reserved my overnight sleeping berth on the train
   (KL to Singapore). The train arrives early in the morning
   (no overnight in Singapore) and I flew with Air India later
   in the day. If you don't have alot of luggage and want to be
   cheap you can walk to the metro, get off at City Hall and
   then catch the bus behind Raffles City to the aiport. (about
   $4S) If you want you can also take the night train from
   Jakarta to Yogya the same day you arrive.
