3 Days on a Thai Beach

I'm going to Nepal in Sept and returning via Bangkok in mid Nov. Thought a few days lying on a beach would be nice - but which one?? Arrive Bangkok late at night, then have 3.5 days before departing from there, so can't spend too much time travelling to/from the mystery beach/island. Any ideas?? Heard Ko Samet was OK - what do you think??. Grateful for any ideas.

need more time. check into the siam inter-continental
hotel and hang out buy the pool or go to pattaya (yuck).
the hotel is beautiful (at about 150.00 us per night)
with lush tropical gardens and the works. a perfecr place
    to relax. sorry

You could hang out in Bangkok for the time. there is a lot
to see there and it is easy to get around. the other
option is to go to pattaya. the beaaches aren't that great
but if you want a beach there arent too many other
options. I would not stay at any hotel in bangkok that
costs 150. Stay in a guest house or a cheap hotel on
sukumvhit road. Go to the bridge over the river kwai by
train for the day. see the temples. go to the markets,

From Bkk Airport there is transport available to Pattaya
where you can get a transfer to Koh Samet. Supposed to be
very nice, layback and peaceful. (PS Don't you hate it when
you ask a question and get answers to something totally
different!!! As wonderful as Bangkok is, relaxing it isn't.

If you have 3,5 days its best to go to Koh Samet.I went
there last year and it's a tropical paradise.

    MAGGS
I think that the above authors did mention pattaya as a
beach to go to. Richo did say he would be grateful for any
    ideas.
don't you hate when someone tries to make someone else look
    stupid
