MAS has been instructing its pilots not to fly with
more than the minimum amount of fuel required to get to the
destination. In July of last year, an MAS flight arriving
in London had to request an immediate landing as it was low
on fuel. In the last year, there have been ten incidents of
MAS flights landing at Heathrow with less fuel than the
minimum set by international regulations. MAS has since
probably corrected this problem, but it is badly in debt,
which leaves one to wonder what else it is cutting corners
on to save money.
