after my 6weeks of travel in indonesia this summer i want to
spend a week of "solitude"...to discover my "inner self
"before i return back to the rat race. what i'am looking for
is a safe, untouristy,simple place near a beach where i can
forget about my "worries"...any help will be much
appreciated...thanks

    Hi ,
    Give Semporna a shot, it's on the East coast of Sabah, and
    so far has not been discovered. The Islands are great, and
    a company called Asiaconect have some Interesting and
    affordable things to do.
    WE had a good time there and spent a couple of days at the
    Asiaconect Mabul lodge (very primitive) but the people were
    great and we actually met the local population.( It was a
    real cultural experence (worth every second)
    I think Asiaconect e-mail is asiaconect@hotmail.com but you
    can find their office at the Seafest Inn in Semporna , they
    have good clean cheap accmodation, but talk talk to
    Asiaconect because I think they are the ones who arrange
    the special prices for the budget travellers like us.

    a cool place to chill is gili trawangan off of lombok.Not
    deserted but many remote stretches also mushrooms avail if
    your into that sorta thing. Unreal balinese
    sunsets.backpacker vibes.

    Try Pangandaran. Banjar west Java. Busses to Pang.
    I Stayed two weeks and had a hard time leaving it. Bandung tourists in the weekends, but during weekdays it's a very peacefull place.
    Look for Panorama hotel and take a bungalow ( 15000 )
