Bali has very little rain in August and sits about 5 degrees
south of the equator so the sun will rise a little after 6
am and set about 6:15 p.m. in August. The other cities are
a little to the north so they will have only a slight bit
more daylight in August, but not signficantly more.
the last time i checked the sun rose in the morning
and set in the evening. does that help!
I suggest you either chill out, relax, decide to take a
risk and partake in a bit of adventure otherwise it would
be of monetary benefit for you to stay at home.....
You could come to Kual Lumpur and then to Port Dickson or
Port Klang.I could take you around and you could even stay
with me.I am a doctor by profession.
singapore and malaysia should see quite a bit of rain at
that time. but it is all part of the tropical expierence.
lush wet greens and cool days. sun breaks at about 6.30 am
and sets at about 7 p.m in both places.
Joydeep...who cares if he is a doctor..he just sounds plain
creepy. In any case I don't think you should go to KL for a
beach holiday (although the wave pool at Sunway Lagoon is
an interesting experience).KL is a good way from the coast.
Port Dickson is nothing to get excited about. Pulau Pangkor
and Pangkor Laut might be worth considering. It depends what
you require in addition to a beach to complete your holiday.
Singapore on the other hand is an island but you wouldn't
seriously think of going to the beach HERE! However both KL
and Singapore are the places to make connecting
flights/ferries to places that do have nice beaches.
I am no expert on the weather but the East coast of
Malaysia has some lovely simple places to getaway to a
beach. And from Singapore , the Bintan provides an easy
escape to a beach with amenities.
Of the places you listed I would select Phuket (but stay
away from Patong Beach...try Kata and Kata Noi). For a
really beach focused holiday I would go to the Maldives.
La Nina seems to have made the weather this year quite
unpredictable so you will just have to take a chance on it.
