Someone on the tree mentioned a short while ago that they
had found an excellent UP-TO-DATE guide book for South
America, specifically for Peru. Des anyone know what that
book was called and who publishes it? I think it was the
Footprints guide but can't remember.
Thanks

I just got back from Peru/Bolivia. In Peru I used the
all-new freshly published Footprints guide. It was
EXCELLENT. In fact, I prefer it to the outdated LP guide.
the footprint guidebook really is an excellent piece of work
- LP will have a LOT to do to match it in terms of content
and information design...so the challenge is on!
I was able to get the Footprints Peru book using
amazon.co.uk because the US version will not be out until
July.
I was concerned that everything would be in pounds and I
would have to convert to dollars and then to sol but
surprisingly most prices were in dollars - so I'm not sure
of the difference (if any) between the US and UK version.
I ordered one from Amazon.com UK after reading about
it here a few weeks ago. They already had my credit
card information on file from orders I had placed from
the US before. It arrived aprox 1 week later. I'm leaving
the lonely planet book at home.
I agree. The Footprint Handbook on Peru beats LP's anyday.
Exactly what is the title for the Footprints book on Peru? I tried to find it at amazon.com but was unsuccessful.
The title is "PERU HANDBOOK"
I just bought the 2nd edition Footprints Peru Handbook at a Chapters store in Canada. It cost CAD$29.95.
