Beach in Venezeula

I'm arriving in Venezeula on the 4th of June, before heading
off to do some travelling I'd like to chill out a bit and
have a holiday. Where is a good, inexpensive place to relax
at the beach? I'll probably be bored relaxing ater a day or
two so if there are other things to do all the better.
Has anyone been diving in Ven?
Cheers.

    Hi,
The best place is Los Roques, a group of semi-deserted
islands 1-hour away from the coast. There you'll find the
best beaches in the world. There's not much to do besides
    diving and eating.

    Hi,
there are great beaches all along the coast (I liked
Choronφ and Santa FΘ because they were close to rather small
villages but had restaurants and bars to chill out at
night as well)- did not get to Los Roques however, which is
supposed to be very beautiful but fairly expensive (both
accommodation and diving). I did a diving course in
Chichiriviche (two months ago) which was good, and if you
already know how to dive you'll get to see some beautiful
fish and underwater life there (it's in Morrocoy Parque
    Nacional)....
    Wish you a fantastic time!
