Hi I'm a 36 year old female and I'm thinking of planning a
trip to Peru, Bolivia and Brazil - any tips on where to go,
what to do, travel advice, costs would be gratefully
received. Thanks. Also is it easy/expensive to get from
Brazil to Peru?

If you scroll down you'll see variations on this response.
You are talking about an area larger than Europe and
geographically more diverse. It was inhabited by advanced
civilizations for over 3000 years. Your question therefore is
the equivalent of "Hey, I'm going to Europe-what is there to
do?" First, read a book or 2 on the area. Determine how long
you have to travel and how much money. That gives you a per
day budget which opens or closes some options. Come up with
some things that interests you. Do you like markets, ruins,
surfing, drugs, laying on the beach, mountain climbing? Get
my drift? Then come back here or email me and with pertinent
questions you can get the answers you seek.
You'll find answers to all your questions in LP's and other guidebooks about the countries you mention. Also read the replies to the posts in this tree.
E-mail me if you're interested in my list of travel tips (how to prepare for a long trip; items to bring, do's and dont's for on the road, useful web sites).
My current plan is as follows for a similar trip.
Enter Rio on a RTW. Do Salvador, Iguassu, Belem upto Lapaz
on the RTW.Do a side trip ex Lapaz. Then surface from Lapaz
via Cusco to Lima. Do Nazca ex Lima. Fly to Iquitos from
Lima.Tour the Amazon at Iquitos. Then boat tp Manaus via
Tabitinga (3 plus 7 days). Leave Brazil from Manaus on the
RTW.
Any comments on the above from those already travelled?
In researched numerous tour brochures to decide the above
route.
NG, you'll get more response if you post right in the Thorn Tree, not within another post.
