If you can recommend the best place to visit, let me know...
I'm a 26 year old Canadian guy looking for a great vacation
for the month of August. Would prefer an area with GREAT
nightlife (with locals and/or travelers), safe streets, and
costing under approx. US$50 per day (after airfare, of
course).
Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions!!

Cusco, Peru. You'll find plenty of oblivious foreigners
drinking and dancing their nights away with eachother and
the local Peruvian scenesters. Lots of free drinks, late
nights, and good music. No trace of local culture, political
distress or poverty to ruin your good time. Have fun!!

  2. BA for you! Added by: Juan Carlos (argyjuan@sion.com)

    ---------------------------------------------------------
Imagine if you will a safe city...
where people eat late and don't go out before 1am,
    with cafes everywhere,
where soccer is a national passion,
    with incredible, inexpensive wines,
where the mini, mini-skirt is the fashion,
which has the best steaks in the world,
and where salsa and tango bars are the norm.
You got it: What's new Buenos Aires!
    Needless-to-say, It's a place to know.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
(... a description of my city made for one of my guests...)
Buenos Aires is a European style city where you will not
feel a foreigner in few many days.
BA has no great monuments, no magnificent architecture, it's
neither a modern city nor a colonial city. The most
important thing is the daily life: every day you will meet
some friendly people, and you will find something
interesting to do, to see, to hear, to learn... because BA
is a city with 13 millon people, and it has a huge amout to
offer the visitor. Several of them are free!.
Instead, if you like numbers, BA has one of the world's
most famous Opera houses, (besides NY, Moscu, Paris and
Milan) 150 cinemas, 100 theaters, the highest sky-
scraper in South America, a unique ecological reserve just
in the middle of a city, etc.

And my house can be used as a headquarter in Buenos Aires: I
offer accommodation to foreigners in the heart of BA, and
first hand info to help my guests and travellers.
Don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions.

I just spent 6 months traveling the entire South American
continent and my advice is the Brazilian coastal cities. In
a word wow! Parati, Rio, Porto Seguru, Salvador, Pria Pipa,
Canoa Quebrada, Fortoleza. Its cheap and the Brazilians
know how to party-you should have now problem getting laid
either. The Brazilain chics love gringo's.
