Does anybody know if it's possible to do camping in
Malaysia, Bangkok, and on the way from Hong-Kong to Chengdu?

Just one question .. why ? I can't think of any reason to
want to do that and so incredibly many reasons not to do
    that..

You can camp in HK. I've seen tents in some country parks.
If you don't mind to travel for at least 2 hours to it. For
example, there is a camp site in the middle of McLehose
trail section 3 - after a one hour mountain hike from the
    nearest bus stop.
The Lamma youth hostel might allow camping - but its a good
45 Minutes from the ferry in the middle of nothing.
The HK camping sites are more designed for the HK kids to
get out for the weekend. Be prepared for an extreme boring
    time.
...but otherwise its an interesting idea...
