A couple for Japan
"Big in Japan" - Alphaville
"Turning Japanese" - can't remember who did this one
.
My Woman from Tokyo, Deep Purple. Especially if you've got some nice shots of sexy Tokyo girls, like the ones in short skirts hanging out in front of Shibuya station. Mmmm.
That little ditty was done in the early 1980's by a band
called The Vapors.
Bruce Cockburn (the brilliant Canadian singer-songwriter) has a great track called "Tokyo."
It'd very descritive of everyday scenes in Japan and was recorded sometimne in the early '80s.
I can't remember the name of the album right now but I can find ot if your interested.
SOme sone with the chorus "Domo Arigato Mr Roboto, domo,
domo" sorry I can't rememer the title, but every time I say
domo arigato that damned song gets stuck in my head!
"Living in Japan" - Fun, Fun

miss my Japanese girl.
"MATTE KUDASAI" BY KING CRIMSON
by Murry Head
I left my heart in San Francisco by Tony Bennett
There is a song by BAD (Big Audio Dynamite) that is all
about Japan..... talking about bullet trains and all kinds
of stuff. it is very good but the name escapes me....... I
will try to get back to you, fruitbat

Japanese. There's also Tokyo Joe (is that right?) by Brian
Ferry - great song.

Pizicato (sp?) Five? They are from Japan are kind of pop.
the title song for Emanuelle in Bangkok written by the
legendary french pop idol Serge Gainsborg. The song spins
through my head every time I'm in bangkok.
for me, the soundtrack to Japan will always be J-pop stuff
like namie amuro, max, and puffy.
