Extending a China visa

Hi,
I'll be traveling for 2 months in China this summer, then
onto Pakistan. How can I get a visa good for that length of
time? LP says you can get a renewal of 15-30 days. I need
to get the maximum possible. Anyone know of a good PSB
office in southwest China where they'll give out long
extensions?
Also, LP says the HK CITS issues 90 day visas. Anyone know
cost and how long this takes?
