Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever used the US bus? What's the general
reputation of it, any stories that you can tell us about,
I'm assuming that it is pretty similar to the minibus
services around south east asia.
Cheers
Chris

US bus...do you mean greyhound busses? City busses? You
have to be more specific, I live here and have never heard
    of "US bus".

I travelled on the US Bus last summer and found it really good. They had just started up then and were having a few teething problems but that should be sorted out this summer. My only complaint was that it was hard to change bookings at short notice, they made us book every sector before the first days travel and then if you wanted to change plans enroute the buses were often full, also buses only went every second day from alot of places.
But i had such a great time on the trip that the scheduling problems didn't matter, the drivers are great and because there are no more than 14 passengers erveryone gets pretty close. we stopped during travel days for shopping, swimming, kodak moments, and loads of food and smoking breaks. And if you can't find a place to stay the driver may even let you sleep on the bus.....for a small fee.
I hope you have a great trip

  5. Overnight buses Added by: Mudpiez (mudpiez@yahoo.com)

Hi there. We're a group of 3 gals and 1 guy in our early
twenties. We're travelling from San Francisco to San Diego
by taking overnight buses with Greyhound. Just wondering if
it is generally safe to do that, considering that we will be
easily identified as tourists. Any experiences that you can
    tell us about?

Another good option, is checking the university/college ride
boards. People where I live (St. Louis) do that quite a bit
to catch rides back and forth. Buses are Ok, same advice as
anywhere except DO NOT WANDER AROUND THE LA BUS
TERMINAL AT NIGHT!!!!. It is in a bad area.
