Hello,
I would like to travel around the Eastern part of Canada
this September. Has anybody travelled by Moose Bus? What do
you think about it? Would you recommend it if you were
travelling alone? Or is there a better way to travel?
I am very thankful for any answers.

The Moose Bus is a GREAT SUCCESS. Judging from its
load factors it must be doing most things right. The hop-on,
hop-on option must be attractive to the budget traveller.
In particular you should hop-off at Carman Trails which is served by the Moose Bus. Sentiers Carman Trails is 25KM
(that's 16 miles) North of Ottawa and it is a Hostelling International location with bunk accomodation Cdn$19.50
(US$14.oo) for non-members of HI. Cheaper for HI (YHA) members. There is wondeful scenery, international company, good food or self-cater, good music, canoing,
superb walking in Gatineau Park (270km of trails), superb
wildflowers in June and July, easy access to Ottawa and
Rob, the owner, will gladly arrange for you to ride horses,
go white-water rafting, or, if you are crazy enough, to
Bungee Jump - The Great Canadian Bungee Jump is
within walking distance. I did NOT jump but that was my choice. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. If you want city life, Ottawa is 30 minutes away by the Back Country Bus.
Yes, I RECOMMEND THE MOOSE BUS AND CARMAN TRAILS
Does Moose Bus have a url? I'd like more info on it - sounds
great.
the url is www.moosetravelco.com
Thank you Peter!
The equivalent one for BC is http://www.mooserun.com
