    The vans offered by the Big Three (Ford, GM, Chrysler) are
    made in Canada + the currency exchange $1 USD = $ 1.50 Cnd.
    Canadian standards meet USA requirements but US vehicles do
    not always meet Canadian requirements...Confusing eh?
    Imports like VW, Honda, Nissan, etc are much cheaper in the
    US as the tarrifs are much lower. Check international
    newspapers classified ads at your local library.
    Huge variations in prices between USA East coast & West;
    Ontario Canada & Alberta. Also check taxation as each
    location has its hand in your pocket!

    isn't US/Canada so much as East/West. Do not buy a used car on the east coast of either country, the salt on the roads makes them rust buckets in 10 years and anything in good condition would be more expensive. So given the current exchange rates, the ideal place to purchase would probably be BC...?
