Am planning to go to calgary and eastern part of bc for
first two weeks of july. anyone been to nelson or
revelstoke/. how much would it cost me to go hiking from
there-say for 3 or 4 days. i'm going alone so would
appreciate some budget tour that would allow me to meet
other similar travellers ( late 20's or early 30's
preferred). any comments appreciated, thanks

There are three very good budget tour companies in the are.
One in the Rocky Express that operates from Calgary to
Jasper and back, there's also Moose Run that runs from
Calgary to Banff, Jasper up into Northen BC and back down to
Vancouver. The third is the Bigfoot tours which runs from
Calgary to Vancouver actoss the Mountains all three are alot
of fun and not too hard on the pocket book. There is also
the inter hostel shuttle that takes you from one hostel to
the next and is cheaper but not really a tour. Up here it's
easy to meet people because there are thousands of
backpackers like yourself in the area. If I can be of
anymore help just email me at the above address and i'll do
    my best to help.
Good luck have a good trip!

There is an International Hostel at Revelstoke so you could
meet other travellers there if you want to do that.
