Hi
My (now deceased) father used to work at a building
apparently known as 'the old naval building' in Washington
DC. Apparently it's now been taken over by some other CIA-
ish government organisation and had all its windows bricked
up, but I'd still like to know its address in DC.
Does anyone know of the 'Old naval building'?
My dad used to claim it was the ugliest building he'd ever
seen, and I'd love to see for myself.
Thank-you!

The US Navy Yard in Washington DC has lots of undistinguished buildings. It also has the museums of the Navy and the US Marines. Perhaps those orgnizations could help you identify the old building.
It's near Marine HQ at 8th and I streets. The Navy Yard is
well known in Washington so you won't have much trouble
finding it once you get there--if that's your intent.
There is also a building beyond a wall on a hill behind the
Lincoln Memorial. I'm pretty sure the CIA was there until
they moved to Virginia in the early 60s, but before that I
think it was naval property (if you seriously mean the CIA
took it over). The building I've seen isn't as ugly as you
describe, though. It's on 23rd Street across from the State
Department.
I think the building on 23rd is the Navy Bureau of
Medicine. It's more nondescript than truly ugly.

The Navy Yard has it's own Metro stop, so, it's easy to get
to, although you should be warned that the neighborhood has
not warn well. You'd be okay during the day.
