I'm planning to go to Baja in august and I was thinking
about renting a van (Westfalia or similar, something I can
put a double air bed in..), but it's very difficult to find
info on the web. Does anybody know of a rental company
which will allow me to drive all through Baja? Any help
would be appreciated. Bye!

Find a major company who can rent a vehicle to you from a
Mexican location. US agencies forbid travel deep across the
border. Haven't seen vans or minibuses there for rent, but
who knows?
We are two Aussie gals (early 20's) who will be travelling
to Mexico (from Australia;QLD) in late December.
Our plan is Acopulco for new years and then along the coast:
Puerto Escondido; Zipolete;
Into the highlands(?): San Christobel; Palenque;
Back to the coast: Tulum; Isla mujeres; Cancun (briefly);
merida; Tabasco; and back to Mexico City.
Can anyone suggest any alterations to this plan or tips for
safety, saving money, bus transport (in particular), good
places to stay, hang out, meet heaps of people etc. Your
input is greatly appreciated!
Also if you will be in the area around the same time, let us
know!
