Visa/re-entry to USA

I am an Australian and went into the USA at the end of
March for 30 days and am back in Canada. My passport was
stamped with a visa valid for 90 days (until June 30). If
anyone can help me, do you know whether: (a) I can go back
into the USA; and (b) will I get another 90 days or is June
30 it? Any info would be appreciated.

Ohh boyyyy.. this sounds a little familiar as what happened
to me around this time last year. The long story shortened
to spare everyone was.. My Kiwi friend (I'm Canadian) & I
tried to enter Canada and wouldn't let him in unless they
stamped his American passport for a 90 visitors visa into
Canada..even though he's American by birth.
The bottom line.. he got hassled like you wouldn't believe,
all to do with his possibility that he may try to work
illegally while in Canada. (which he had no intention)
My advice is play it straight and DON'T MENTION ANYTHING
about work. This won't help if your Aust. passport has all
sorts of work visas glued to it.
    Good luck

I think they will let you back into the US for the
remainder of your 90 day visa if they accept that you are
not going to work or overstay but the rule I believe is
that you must go back to Australia if you want to restart
another 90 day visa. Otherwise you could just pop over the
Canadian or Mexican border every 89 days and come back in
for another 3 months ad infinitum.
Probably wouldn't hurt to ask though as supposedly the INS
people have the authority to grant or deny on their own
    judgement.

.. the US originally and got a 30 days visa - which makes
no sense if you are a tourist - it should be 90 - and then
went to Candada you can still enter the US because your
visa expired while you were outside. In any case you'll get
a 90 days tourist visa which allows you , usually, for
multiple entrances. Just make sure you save all the papers
they make you fill out or you WILL be hassled. You can call
the INS at 1800-375-5283. The last solution if you are just
looking to go between the US and Canada is to go as an
American. This only works if you are in a car with a bunch
of Americans and it is an American registered car. If you
look "un-American" (read: the border patrols are racist and
will pick any one with dark skin or hair)don't try this. I
am Swedish and passed over the Niagara Falls border many
times and if I hadn't offered them my passport they would
have never checked just assuming I am American. But I did
this in company of Americans. A final tip is not to use the
Rainbow bridge entrance where the US poice has been known
to get anyone and has brutally ignored the Geneva
convention and imprisoned even REFUGEES trying to LEAVE the
US to get into Canada. Anyway, Good Luck.

  7. through Detroit Added by: snail
[Timestamp: Sat 15 May, 11:56 Tasmanian Standard Time]

Go through Detroit and just lie. When they ask, tell them
you are a Canadian heading to work (coming from Canada).
When you head back, tell them you are and American on your
way to the Casino. Most of the border people on the
Detroit side are half asleep or just trying to push you
through fast anyway, especially if you go through at night
on the weekend. Unfortunately not much to see or do in
Detroit/Windsor, but you can usually get a flight from
Detroit to Chicago for like $70 US RT. Good Luck!

  8. thank you Added by: Rod

Thanks for the info everyone. Will give that INS number a
try. Looking like an American might be possible as I will
be getting a lift from Vancouver to Bellingham by a friend
living there so might work. Where is Rainbow Bridge?
