Hello everybody,
I am a 22 year old belgian student and I am planning to go
from Istambul to Beging by train, bus and what ever I will
find on the way ecxepted plain.
But up to now I still do not know if it is possible to cross
the Iran-Turkey Border or if it is still closed.
Does anyone know anythig about the situation there?
Further I realy love climbing and I plan to go the Ararat
montain.
If anyone has already climbed it , could he tell me his
impression and he organized it ?
Finaly if you would be interrested in crossing Asia with a
backpack and in trekking everywhere on the way between
octobre 99 and august 2000, then send me a mail. We could
organized an interresting expedition.
Thanks in advance.

No worries at the Iran-Turkey border, crossed it last week,
open as usual, the officials are quite nice, though the
post itself is a bit of a hike (around 20 minutes
uphill) from the entrance to the border compound on the
Iranian side.
If you've got any questions about Iran just ask, I just
left it, currently resting up in Beirut.
the border is always open;24 hours.they never close. But on
the IRAN side it is a bit slower so you wait about an hour
if you are lucky.Try busses then trains till you reach to
Pakistan cos it is much cheaper and much better conditions
especially in TURKEY.And these two countries are so safer
then Belgium.so dnt worry.
Hi,
You can't climb Ararat, not even to the snowborder,
however, Dogubeyazit is an interesting place,
pleasure, harry

car from belgium to vietnam with a friend. we dispose of an
old Renault 4 that┤s gonna be completely checked before
leaving. The iranian border is open , there won┤t be
problems, you┤ll just need patience!
Send me a mail and maybe we ┤ll be able to arrange
something.
No idea if you speak french or dutch, I┤m speaking both.
