I don't think you were taken in - my husband is a Turkish
Canadian. However, he has told me lots of stories of
tourists going to Turkey for one thing and Turkish men not
disappointing the women. I've also seen it there myself
(been to Turkey every yr for the past 5). So if you were
looking for a beautiful time and you got it then not really
a problem. I'm not sure you would want to spend the rest of
your life with most of the men you meet there on holiday (I
didn't meet mine that way) - but a holiday romance never
hurt anyone! After saying all this - this is actually a
Bristish minority living in Bodrum of tourists who married
their holiday Romeos - don't know if they were taken in or
not. Last thing to keep in mind - Turkey is a Mediterranian
country - so the culture (and as a result the people) are
    vastly different from our own.

  7. What about girls? Added by: Spider Jerusalem

Aren't we forgetting about turkish girls? Aren't they the
sexiest, most passionate and uninhibited delights in the
    world?
I am sorry to bring the subject from sincerity to the
pleasures of the flesh, but is it something in the air of
    Turkey?

i mean, he has a good point: what about Turkish women? i
suppose they are good lovers too, but any personal
    experience told here would help...
    volunteers?

  9. turkish men are fine Added by: Robin

    hi there
i've been in turkey about 2 weeks now. came with my bike
and tent, and no turkish. many great turkish men came to my
rescue in bus stations, and in small towns when i realized
the campsites were all closed. they put me on the right
buses, hunted down my lost helmet and returned it to me
FREE, found me cheap accomodation, treated me to meals,
etc. i've been very fortunate to meet so many good men
here, and me a single solo female traveller. of course, if
i'd been dressed as i've seen some tourist women here,
they'd probably not have approached me, or i'd have drawn a
    different element.
    cheers
    robin
