I'm planning on visiting the Middle East this October for
about a month, flying into Beirut, Lebanon and flying out
of Cairo, Egypt, visiting Jordan, Syria and Israel along
the way. Anyone have tips, suggestions on what best to
see, do etc.? Does this seem like a good itinerary? Any
info would be greatly appreciated.
Please respond to alias1_z@hotmail.com.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Cindy :-)

I was in Beruit/Lebanon April '98 visiting friends. MUST
SEE the Roman ruins in Baalbeck (don't know if it will be a
problem now, I know the Isralies bombed a Hizbullah buiding
in town), make sure you don't get suckered by the locals
peddling fake "Roman coins", they look real but are stamped
out in a factory on the coast. Also be sure and spend a day
in Byblos just north of Beruit.
