Luxor to Sharm w/o Sea Sickness

Thanks to all who have sent info in the past. It's been
better than anything I've read in any guidebook. This
question is about recommendations for 3 star hotels with
a/c in Luxor and on the West bank. Also, how much time does
the trip to Hurghada take and can we plan on seeing Abydos
and Dendara on the way or is that a day's outing in itself?
Any more recent info on the ferry crossing to Sharm? We get
sea sick so if July waters are just are turbulent as Feb.
maybe we'll try the land route. Any recommendations would
be appreciated.

  1. West Bank Added by: Canuck

The West Bank is relatively small. All parts can be visited
on day trips from East Jerusalem - shared taxis leave from
Damascus Gate. Ramallah is 20 minutes (3NIS); from there you
can get a shared service (taxi) to Nablus (45 minutes and
9NIS), and then on to Jenin (90 minutes and about 20NIS
from Jerusalem via Nablus). Also from Damascus Gate:
Bethlehem (15 minutes and about 2.5NIS) and Hebron (30
minutes and about 5NIS or so). If you visit these cities
you┤ll get a good taste of the West Bank and of Palestinian
hospitality (especially in Hebron and Nablus).

Do you mean West Bank in Luxor? If so, I can answer your
    question.

I think you┤re correct, NBH. Norma must be referring to the
west bank of the Nile, not the West Bank of the Jordan
River! I┤ll try to read a little more carefully in future.
